How You Can Help

The Human Services Center Corporation has several opportunities by which you can support our work.  All contributions to the HSCC are tax-deductible.  The following vehicles are available for your consideration.

Mon Valley Providers Council (MVPC) Annual Fund Drive

Anyone can make a tax-deductible contribution to the HSCC to be designated to the Mon Valley Providers Council's efforts to collectively fill gaps in services with over 70 member agencies throughout the Mon Valley.  Gifts are accepted year-round, and may be mailed to MVPC Annual Fund Drive, 519 Penn Avenue, Turtle Creek, PA 15145.  Check with your employer about matching gift policies.  Details can be found at www.hscc-mvpc.org/annual_fund_drive.htm.

Educational Improvement Tax Credits (EITC)

The youth programs of the HSCC are eligible to receive Educational Improvement Tax Credits (EITC) from approved corporations.  The Human Services Center Corporation is listed in the state-wide book of approved agencies.  If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Dave Coplan (dcoplan@hscc-mvpc.org) or Alicia Andrews (aandrews@hscc-mvpc.org) or by phone at 412-829-7112.

Sponsorships

Most HSCC programs solicit sponsorship throughout the year.  As examples, sponsors are approached for the Kids, Outgoing, Outdoing, and Learning (KOOL) Summer Program, the McKeesport Collaborative's HIV/AIDS Walk, and most MVPC major functions.  If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Dave Coplan (dcoplan@hscc-mvpc.org) or Alicia Andrews (aandrews@hscc-mvpc.org) or by phone at 412-829-7112.

Planned Giving Opportunities

The HSCC accepts planned gifts to support its mission.  Planned gifts are charitable donations made as a part of your financial, tax, and estate planning.  Through your will, estate, or even a life insurance policy, you can name the HSCC as a beneficiary of your support.  We recommend you consult your attorney or accountant for more details on this giving option.

Holiday Toy Program

Every fall, the HSCC receives lists of low-income children from 50 agencies totaling over 5,000 children for whom we work to gather toys.  Companies, civic groups, and religious institutions may choose to sponsor a giving tree with tags for individuals to purchase gifts ranging from $20 to $30.  Tax-deductible contributions to the Holiday Toy Program are also accepted and may be made payable to HSCC Holiday Toy Program and mailed to 519 Penn Avenue, Turtle Creek, PA 15145.

Volunteering Your Time

There are many volunteer opportunities through the programs of the HSCC.  These vary from one day events, to ongoing assignments.  To get involved, call 412-829-7112.
